Non Profit for Autistic Individuals Receives Over $42,000 in Donations Following Buffalo Bills Loss

After the Buffalo Bills devastating loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, The Summit Center received an influx of donations totaling over $42,000 from fans donating in honor of Dalton Kincaid.

The Summit Center, a non profit that benefits individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities, received up to over $42,000, with more donations coming in every day, after Dalton Kincaid missed a pass from Josh Allen with 2 minutes left on the clock. This caused fans to donate to a non profit organization Kincaid supported. Just minutes after the Bills lost, fans of several different teams shared the center, encouraging people to donate. Dalton Kincaid has been supporting The Summit Center for several years, visiting the center in 2021 and choosing them in 2023 as his “My Cause My Cleats” charity, where players wear customized cleats in support of their chosen organization. He also did partnerships with Minky Couture, Queen City Vintage, and 26 Shirts, with all proceeds going to The Summit Center. Mostly recently, in April, he visited the Summit Academy, a school for autistic children. Mary Bennett, the superintendent of Summit Academy, commented personally on Kincaid’s support of The Summit Center, saying “Our students and families are still talking about Dalton’s visit last spring. The atmosphere was electric when he entered the building. Not only is he an incredible athlete, but he has a big heart and that was evident during the time he spent with our students.”

Keri Troidl, an accountant who works at The Summit Center in Getzville, said “I was shocked by the generosity, it’s great, these donations will help us further cement The Summit Center as part of the community and spread awareness about our mission to help those with autism.” The Summit Center has also previously said the donations will go towards “providing equitable opportunities for children and adults with autism”.

Similarly, after the Baltimore Ravens lost to the Buffalo Bills, Bills fans created a GoFundMe that received over $35,000 to Breakthrough T1D, an organization working towards finding a cure for type 1 diabetes, in honor of Mark Andrews who dropped a pass in the last quarter of the game.
